A Tribute to our Veterans

My family boasts of many that have served in the military.

My Dad

They have served in the Army, the Navy, the Marines, the Women's Auxiliary Army Corp. and the National Guards.

My Cousin Chris
Over many generations.

My Grandfather George

They have all had experiences that have shaped their futures and coloured their past.

My Cousin Greg (far right)

Those experiences helped shape them into different people.  Better people.  Sometimes sadder people.

My Great Uncle Edward

These pictures that I am sharing with you only represent a small number of my family members that have served.

My Grandma Josephine (far right) - Women's Auxiliary Army Corps.

I am so proud of them and their service to our country. As I am of all those service men and women who have given of their time and had to deal with the consequences that that service sometimes entails.  I am also proud of those left behind - the family members that must pick up the pieces and go on with their lives while missing a piece of their family.  The children that miss their parent, the wives or husbands that long for their spouse.

Thank you all for your commitment to this country and to our freedom.  I, and my family, do not take these commitments lightly or take them for granted.  You and your service is greatly appreciated.  JCMT
